Boarding

Here at Northfield stables, horses live in beautiful, lush, green pastures with ample fresh grass and plenty of room to act naturally. Each pasture has a loafing shed and dry paddock for managing dietary needs that is enclosed by high tension PVC coated wire fencing. Pasture groups are kept small with only 4 or 5 horses per pasture. When the pasture is rich with sweet grass, horses are kept on dry paddocks and turned out for grazing both morning and night. Horses that need more feed may be on pasture longer. This always provides for optimal nutrition while maintaining proper weight. During other seasons, horses are fed a grass/alfalfa hay mixture. Horses always have access to multiple free-choice minerals. All of this provides a safe and healthy home for your horse.

When not playing with horses, boarders hang out in the patio area and while away the day. Time is spent drinking lemonade and talking about horses with friends or telling jokes. This small barn community enjoys trail rides, holiday parties, barbeques and potlucks together. Community is the key word here-where horses and humans play!

Boarders are provided a large locker, space in the feed room for grain and supplements, trailer parking, and full use of the facility. The indoor and outdoor arenas are open for boarders to use daily.
